Make sure you saved your Maqet work before you leave this page. If you don't it will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Step #1 POSE
Most of our characters have multiple poses. Click on the pose icon, and then click the one you want.
Step #2 COLOR
Click the color icon and color your MAQET by selecting a pattern or solid color. To see a wide spectrum of color combinations, slide the red arrow back and forth.
Step #3 FACIAL EXPRESSION
Your character comes with different facial expressions. Click the expression icon, then choose one or click the X to leave your character’s face blank.
Step #4 SAVE
Important! Be sure to click SAVE after making important changes, especially when using the DRAW section (Step #5).
Step #5 DRAW
When you click on the Draw icon, you can use our online tools to add lots of details to your character’s design OR you can upload Photoshop, Illustrator, or scanned files featuring your very own custom artwork.
To use our Draw tools:
- Click to select a color.
- Opacity shows more or less transparency.
- Size shrinks or increases the size of your selected drawing tool.
- When drawing, hold down your mouse to create a flow of color OR click your mouse once to create a stamp effect.
- We have lots of neat effects and shapes to use when you draw on your MAQET. Play around with them and click Clear to erase your work or Undo to go back a step.
- Click Show background/Hide background to toggle between seeing your overall color (from Step #2) and seeing only what you’ve drawn on your character.
To upload Photoshop, Illustrator or hand-drawn scanned files:
- Select Download Instructions for complete advanced instructions.
- Select Upload Design File when you’ve correctly prepped your own files to use on your MAQET
MORE STUFF YOU CAN DO!
- Click on your character, hold and drag to spin it around and rotate your view.
- Click on the magnifying glass icon (on upper right) to zoom in on character details. (Doesn’t work in Draw mode though.)
- Click FULLSCR to have the working area fill up your whole screen. Then, click your ESC key to get back to your normal browser window.
- Click BUY to have us turn your design into a REAL art toy for your collection.
- Click SHARE to show off your current MAQET design via email or Facebook.

HOW LONG UNTIL MY MAQET ARRIVES?
Our customers appreciate our fast delivery. Some companies take as long as one month to deliver custom made collectibles. MAQET usually ships within 2 business days of an order being placed. Depending on which shipping service you select, you can receive your MAQET in approximately 5-14 days. Our technology delivers!
ARE MAQETS LIMITED EDITIONS?
Good question. So good, we have two answers.
Each MAQET is unique because everyone styles their own using a ton of design options. So, the very nature of this process makes every MAQET a limited edition, sometimes even one-of-a-kind.
MAQET also offers themed limited edition characters for special occasions, causes, and holidays. These limited edition characters are announced in our blog and only available for a short time.
WHAT IS A MAQET’S TYPICAL LIFESPAN?
MAQETs are durable figurines that can last years with proper care. But, as with any collectible figurine, mistreatment will cause damage. You cannot step on, drop on the floor, use as a pet toy, or throw MAQETs. They should not sit in the hot sun or rain. These are your special creations and should be treated as such.
HOW ARE MAQETS MADE?
MAQET’s production process is particularly interesting. We use special advanced-rapid prototyping technology that takes your personalized design from our web-based software and brings it to 3-D life. Special starched-based powders are layered, colored, and bonded within the machine. Next, each MAQET is hand processed, packaged, and shipped. We’re talking high-quality, eco-friendly collectible figurines!
WHAT IS THE REFUND/EXCHANGE POLICY FOR MAQETS?
Your MAQET is an individual expression and personal piece of art. Because of the customization involved in making your MAQET, they are non-refundable items. In the rare case that the figurine is damaged during shipping, please refer to our Return Policy.

WHAT DO MAQETS COST AND HOW BIG ARE THEY?
A small, custom MAQET starts at just $25. The small size MAQETs are up to 5 inches (dependent on character), and cost $25.00 before shipping and handling.
Our large size MAQETs are up to 8 inches (dependent on character), and cost $45.00 before shipping and handling. Each MAQET differs in size based on character choice.
Buy your own or use our Share feature to email friends and family your virtual MAQET. Not only will they be able to see what you created, they can also purchase the MAQET for you or them self.
WILL MY REAL MAQET MATCH WHAT I CREATED ON SCREEN?
The model you see in the software is a close approximation of the real MAQET you’ll receive. Your real MAQET will actually have more sculptural detail and rounder curves then what you see in the software. Also, because everyone's monitor is different, the color of the real MAQET might differ from what you see on your monitor. But, usually it's very close.
Viewing the photographs in our blog and online gallery will give you a good indication of what real MAQETs look like.

WHAT ABOUT EUROPE AND ASIA?
We are a very new company and MAQET is still in beta. At this time, all production takes place within the United States and we only ship to U.S. and Canadian customers. As MAQET grows, we will expand production sites to Europe and Asia. Look for announcements on the site and in our blog.

HOW DO I BUY MY MAQET?
After creating your MAQET you have the choice to save it, share it via email or Facebook, and/or purchase it. You must be 18 years of age or older to make a purchase. You do not have to create an account to purchase a MAQET.
