If you’re in the Portland area right now, step away from the computer and get thee to The Screaming Sky Gallery where Yosiell Lorenzo‘s Bedtime Revelations are about to be revealed. Yosi snuck us a few phone pics during the installation.

The concept for the solo show is based on childhood bedtime stories, which his mom read to him from the Book of Revelations. In Bedtime Revelations, Lorenzo takes a lighthearted look at this extremely dark subject matter:

Or as lighthearted as I can get with Sicklings painted with the Mark of the Beast. Portland better fucking be ready because I’m bringin’ the Armageddon over there.

In addition to the new paintings and giclee prints, Yosiell designed four original MAQETs to symbolize the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This first set is available at tonight’s show (1416 NE Alberta Street) in Portland. A limited edition will follow on maqet.com. Stay tuned!
